Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 17 July 2025
1. General
Wear Woofs provides professional dog walking and pet care services in Sunderland, UK.
All services are subject to availability and are confirmed upon acceptance by Wear Woofs.
By booking with Wear Woofs, clients agree to these Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The latest version will always be available at www.wearwoofs.co.uk.
2. Client and Dog Information
Clients must provide accurate, up-to-date information about their dog(s), including health, behaviour, and medical history.
All dogs must:
Be microchipped (as per UK law)
Be up to date on vaccinations, flea, and worm treatments
Clients must notify Wear Woofs of any changes in their dog’s health, temperament, or behaviour that could affect their suitability for walking services.
Wear Woofs reserves the right to refuse or terminate service if a dog:
Is aggressive or poses a safety risk
Is in poor health
Is deemed unsuitable for group or solo walks
3. Bookings and Payment
Bookings may be made via our website, email, or phone.
Payment is due in advance of each scheduled service.
Accepted payment methods: bank transfer or cash.
Late or missed payments may result in suspended or cancelled services.
4. Cancellations
We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations to avoid charges.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full service rate.
Repeated short-notice cancellations may result in the loss of your regular booking slot.
5. Walks and Service Conditions
Dogs may be walked individually or in small, compatible groups unless solo walks are specifically requested.
Walks proceed in most weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by Wear Woofs.
In hot weather, walks may be shortened or modified for the safety of your dog. See our Hot Weather Policy for details.
Dogs may only be walked off-lead with written consent from the owner. Owners accept full responsibility for their dog’s off-lead behaviour.
6. Liability
Wear Woofs holds full public liability insurance via Protectivity covering dog walking and pet care services. If you would like to see this please ask.
While every effort is made to ensure the safety and well-being of your dog, Wear Woofs cannot be held responsible for injury, illness, loss, or accidents resulting from:
Pre-existing medical conditions
Aggression or behavioural issues
Faulty or inadequate equipment that has been provided by the client (e.g., collars, harnesses, leads)
Events outside of our control (e.g. weather, interference from third parties)
7. Emergencies
In the event of an emergency, we will attempt to contact the owner or the designated emergency contact immediately.
If neither can be reached and urgent action is needed, Wear Woofs reserves the right to take your dog to the nearest veterinary clinic.
All vet bills incurred in such circumstances are the responsibility of the client.
8. Key Holding and Home Access
Clients authorise Wear Woofs to access their property as needed to perform services.
All keys are securely stored and labelled without identifying client information.
Keys will be returned:
Upon client request
Upon termination of services
After three months of service inactivity, unless otherwise agreed
9. Privacy
Wear Woofs respects your privacy. All personal information provided will be:
Handled in accordance with UK data protection laws
Used solely for service delivery and communication
Photos of dogs may be used for Wear Woofs' website and social media. No personal details will be shared. Contact Wear Woofs to opt out of photo consent.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
